The vines are around 17 years old and the vineyard is planted southeastern facing at 2,000 feet in elevation upon beds of schist over limestone. The wine is 100% whole cluster fermented and the grapes are left for 7 days on their skin before aging entirely in neutral oak for 4 and a half months.
