S. Civil War Era leather Body sling, 2 1 2" wide with large brass buckle, intended to be draped over the shoulder. Attached is a Spring loaded Carbine Sling Swivel Hook, used to secure Saddle Ring Carbine, like a SHARPS, under the arm for use when mounted on a Cavalry Charger. This sling allowed the trooper to easily access the carbine, and also served to stabilize it against the body for
