And while clearly the intemperance here refers to drinking with the source of misery man at center holding a bottle in his hand it seems to me quite resonant now when considering intemperance in the broader sense (i. e. intemperate leaders and wielders of power producing starvation both literal and figurative.) There is a whole history of
