The marvelous, densely pen and blue ink decorated bird here is a cutout drawing, mid 19th c. I believe, purchased from a favorite Pennsylvania based dealer, and the wonderful c. mid 19th century black stained painted primitive frame with hand cut glass is one I found in New Hampshire and had waiting for the perfect thing, which I think the bird is! I mounted the cutout drawing to a piece of cream colored archival mat via one piece of
