This is very special and very hard to find. This is a very FINE example of the ROYAL NAVY'S "figure of Eight" Boarding Cutlass as used at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. The iron guard is shaped in what is referred to as a figure of eight in that it is constructed of two attached iron discs being both the sword guard and the knuckle guard all cut from one sheet of iron. The iron grip is heavily ribbed for secure
