Sweet and Cheerful, Very Folky Hand Hooked Rug early trasferware but this carver clearly hadI haven't much delved into world of hooked rugs, though I very often admire them. Two today, though the other antique, text based, and really quite a thing, but this one charmed me like a kid's crayon drawing: naive and improvisatory feeling, and a very homey one to come home to. I especially love all those kind of random bits of brown and black white fabric, together making the center area feel rather like a walled garden, with one bright pink rose
