Original U.S. Civil War Era Austrian M1849 Half-Stock Percussion Musket Converted for Civilian Use Category_MG 42 Display Guns & Part Sets 1939 Spange to the IronOriginal Item: Only one Available. This is an Austrian Percussion Lorenz style musket most probably imported for use in the Civil War that was then cut to half stock for civilian use. This musket features a round to octagonal 33 inch barrel, with faded proof marks and the maker's name FRED. FRUWIRTH stamp on the breech. It also features brass mounts, including a "Jaeger" style trigger guard, with a nice cheek rest on the left side of the butt stock.
