The frame itself shows wear and some loss to the surface particularly along the bottom edge

with a hole near the top for hanging from a nail

I'd guess early 20th century or so

with our somewhat mournful looking woman holding one hand over her heart and perhaps reading a prayer from the book in the other

SOLD Antique Architectural Iron Ornament Leaf in Glorious Old Paint sanborn and carter Overall 16 1/2" tall xGorgeous foliage this week on a drive to Vermont, where I found this gorgeous antique iron leaf, an piece of architectural ornament I believe, which must have part of something pretty spectacular. I love the form, with feathered edges and curled tip, and the wonderfully crusty old paint on it, including gold down the middle. Great as a paperweight, or just a tabletop object, quite beautiful and substantial feeling. 6 7 8" l x 3 1 2" w x 2" t. Good
