This trompe l'oeil style oil on canvas is not tightly painted enough to fool anyone

carved from one piece of wood--by the same maker I think as a smaller one I am listing separately

but I love the shot up

Wonderful Folk Art Black Dog, Carved Wood with Polychrome maryland coal mine This trompe l'oeil style oilA total charmer, much better in hand, with nice age patina on the black paint, and fine carve marks all over. Love at first sight, found in PA, with a bit of a feline aspect but I do believe a dog. (Best of both worlds!) 6" l x 3 7 8" t x 2 1 8" w, very good condition. 1920s 40s or so I would guess.
