I based this painting on photos I took in a local cemetery

This painting uses some Impressionist techniques

others are rooted to an individual or are just free to roam

Those shells are not evil but simply protect the sparks and give them form until they are ready to burst free. Then the sparks rise and rejoin their source. This teaches us that even when we are in the dark, we are surrounded by living light.
