In silver, the obverse bearing the profile of Emperor Napoleon III surrounded by the relief inscription NAPOLEON III EMPEREUR'', all within a laurel wreath, the reverse bearing the inscription TA KOU CHANG KIA WAN PA LI KIAO PE KING surrounded by the relief inscription EXPEDITION DE CHINE 1860, 31. 2 mm in diameter, original ribbon, extremely fine condition. Footnote: The medal was established on 23 January 1861 by Napoleon III. It
