Constructed of nickel silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with a central raised crown, within a laurel wreath, the reverse with an inscription of FR TREUE DIENSTE BEI DER FAHNE (FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE TO THE FLAG), above a wreathed number 9 in Roman numerals, unmarked, measuring 31. 40 mm (w) x 36. 37 mm (h), very fine.
